Welcome to this cozy and rustic holiday home outside Storvik,Sweden,about 200 km north of Stockholm.

Situated with a view of Lake Fäbodsjön and miles of forests, you may enjoy a soft spot an a hard world.

The house is built in six-inch timber,using mainly organic materials,driven with flax according to tradition.The house was completed in 2019 and has since been used year-round. A solar cell facility of 10 kW was installed in 2023, which will contribute to low operating costs.Annual production is about 6000kWh.

At the entrance there is a cozy veranda where you may glance at the lake or just hang out.Nearby is small bathing spot...and there is fish in the lake.

Inside,you will find a small hall with space for clothing. In the spacious family room,there is enough room for both sleeping and well-being.Here is also the main fireplace that provides both warmth and a cozy factor. In addition,an air/air heat pump was installed in 2020 for heat and/or AC.The combination of fireplace and heatpump gives a very decent expense for heating.

In the kitchen there is another fireplace, gas stove, oven, cooker hood, refrigerator, microwave and washing machine. Above the kitchen is a sleeping loft with space for a double bed.

Shower/WC with wet room carpet on the floor wash basin and a folding glass door shower.

The house is timbered in a classic style and is in good condition. A perfect place to unwind in both summer and winter.

Separately is another house of 35m2 for guests or living. This house has a small kitchen, bathroom, air heat pump and fireplace. The guest house has been completed in 2023.

On the plot you will also find a storage building,isolated + wood shed etc.

Water from a drilled well.

Drainage via a 3-chamber well with infiltration.

Fiber is available nearby,for connection if desired.
Working internet is currently available via 4/5G.

THE SELLER SAYS:
It started with a timbering course maybe 15 years ago.
A few years later, I came across an unfinished timber frame, six-inch timber, grown in Ångermanland.
With the help of a local carpenter and friends, the frame and extension were erected. The entire construction is done in "spare time",which can sometimes be in short supply.

In 2019, the house was ready. Smart simple solutions, big but still small, nice materials, ecology... Function before flair.

In the large cabin you can both let yourself be inspired and relax. The morning coffee can be enjoyed on the small veranda with a view of the lake and the neighborhood. I will miss that.

I completed the guest house during the winter and spring 2023. It turned out well. Good standard with a small kitchen/living room, bedroom, toilet and shower.
For guests or rental, with the possibility of simpler self-catering.
Here there is also a woodshed and two storage rooms, one of which is isolated. Firewood is stacked.
